Chuckles are a classic sweet with sugar coated jelly candy which were invented in 1921 by Fred Amend who was originally looking to venture into a career making fluffy marshmallows. As to how and why he created a jelly candy remains a bit of a mystery but this marvelous confection brings new meaning to the expression to "make amends..."
Each 2 oz.. package is individually wrapped and contains five pieces of candy in the following flavors: Cherry, Lemon, Licorice, Lime and Orange. Chuckles are one of the few remaining candies in which the formula has not changed in over ninety years! These candies are Fat Free and Kosher marked KO / Parve.
Here's a fun fact - Did you know Chuckles were named by Fred Amend's wife before the candy was created and in 1970's, over 50 years later, Chuckles were one of Evel Knievel's sponsors
