As a senior in high school, one thing I have been most looking forward to is my prom, something I didn't get to participate in last year because of the pandemic.
Last year when I wasn't able to go, it broke my heart since it is a staple part of the high school experience, so this year I decided to make it extra sweet with some help from CandyFavorites.
This event seemed like it was just the thing that needed to be sweetened up with a bit of our candy. So when I talked to Jon Prince, the company President, about my prom, he suggested that I use my "candy connection" to create a candy bar.
Working for CandyFavorites definitely has its perks, this being one of them. When I started writing for the website a few months ago, I was told I could have whatever candy and supplies I needed.
Ever since I was younger, I have always loved candy bars, and no, not the type you eat but the type where there is a massive candy selection. Candy bars are easily the best table at every party and the night's highlight!
To pick up the candy, I had to visit the warehouse and let me tell you, I felt so official. I feel so special to have gone inside; let me tell you, I don't think there is a candy we don't have! I saw every candy I ever dreamed of and more; I wish you all could've seen it when I went inside
We went in the back and picked out nearly 45 pounds of candy, everything from Mini Hershey candies to Laffy Taffies. It was hard to pick out candies because I had so many great options! However, the boxes of candy I carried out there were heavy and full of joy.
Later that afternoon, I handed off the candy to my friends on the prom committee and got the most fantastic picture of its setup. Although it looked amazing when I saw the table with signs and large bowls filled with candy, I knew it would be a sweet night!
When I arrived at prom, I instantly gravitated toward the candy bar. We had Laffy Taffy, Dum Dum lollipops, mixed gummi candy, Smarties, York Peppermint Patties, Hershey's Chocolates and so much more.
The bowls had to be refilled throughout the whole night, and mouths were filled with delicious candy. We danced the night away and satisfied our sweet tooths all at the same time.
I can't express how many people came up to me with excitement over the candy bar before prom. After that, I couldn't tell how many people came up to me expressing their great time and how much they LOVED the candy display!
Our little treats added so much to my night and the night of all my classmates, and if you are looking to create a candy bar, I encourage you to reach out as the staff at CandyFavororites.com can help to make your candy dreams come true.
