Production was limited in 2022, and unfortunately, we will only have a llimited, very llimited, supply!
Licorice Snaps are bite-sized bits of chewy licorice goodness, each coated with a candy shell featuring fun pastel colors. This licorice candy has been loved since the 1930s when the American Licorice Company first invented them.
During the Great Depression, this special candy was able to provide joy to customers during a hard time, and they give that same joy now. Back in the day, a box of Snaps could be purchased for 2 cents. It is sad to say that they cannot be sold for that much now; however, they still have their classic taste.
Snaps have been discontinued in the past, but their fans' love for them wouldn't let them be discontinued for long. Finally, in 2001 the candy was discontinued because of a decrease in sales and manufacturing complications that came with making the candy.
Snaps are a cult classic candy and are a staple in the candy community. Due to their loyal fan base, Snaps have survived over the generations and make a return each year, and it is almost that time of year!
We believe that the future of candy is rooted in the past, and part of that past is Original Licorice Snaps. They are a delicious part of candy history and represent our values within the candy industry. That being said, we are so excited to offer you one of our favorite candies again and share part of candy history with you through them.
Be warned that stock is limited when they come out, and run-ins with this candy are few and far between. So if you love licorice or candy or want to try something new, you will want to be the first to know when they restock.
