A line from Mac Miller's song called "Frick Park Market"
An essential part of who we are at Candy Favorites is where we are from, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Pittsburgh is known for its bridges, rivers, some of its sports teams, and local talent, including the late musician/rapper Mac Miller.
Mac Miller's debut album, Blue Slide Park, gives a sense of him and his life growing up in Pittsburgh. He named a song after one place in Pittsburgh, Frick Park Market, located within the Point Breeze region.
Mac Miller hung out at the market and filmed the original music video for the song in the store. Frick Park Market was already a popular local spot, but Mac Miller put it on the map.
The business has been located in Point Breeze since 1902 but started as what we know as Frick Park Market in 1940.

David spent years renovating the store and took significant steps to make it current while preserving its history. Although one might feel that they are stepping back in time, the offerings and selection are anything but antiquated!
