Why does my favorite candy taste different?

We all know how exciting it can be to find a long-lost candy favorite after years of thinking you might never be able to enjoy it again. And yet, sometimes, my favorite candy tatses different than you may have remembered. When this happens, it can be disconcerting.  We understand as we have been “selling retro candy long before it was considered retro,” and have many candies change, or worse, disappear,  over our 90 plus year history!

The tricky thing about taste is that it is highly subjective. Many candies, especially those that have been around for decades, are susceptible to undergoing a formula change that could slightly alter the flavor. However, there are countless other reasons why you may experience your favorite treat differently than you did when you were young, and we have compiled a page devoted to help to make your candy purchase meet your expectations.
