While I love candy, my favorite dessert is ice cream. I think that candy and ice cream combinations have the potential to make the best flavors by adding two sweets together to make a better one.
Making your ice cream with the new Ninja Creami has also been popular on social media, so I wanted to try it myself. My family recently bought a Ninja Creami, so I thought, what’s better than trying it and following the trends but adding a candy twist?
The three ice cream recipes featured are inspired by Ninja Creami’s classic base recipe but altered with a Candy Favorites twist.
The first recipe, Reese’s Chocolate Ice Cream, consists of a rich chocolate base with a hint of my favorite candy. Its decadence is unmatched while balancing rich chocolate and smooth peanut butter. If you are a Reese’s or chocolate ice cream lover, you have to give this one a try.
The second recipe, an Andes Mint Chip Ice Cream, packs a mint punch while adding crunch with arguably one of the best mint candies on the market. Unlike a classic mint chip, the chocolate chips with Andes offer additional mint flavoring to the ice cream, enhancing the treat. Mint ice cream lovers need to know this delicious recipe because they might be hooked!
Lastly, the third recipe, Rolos Caramel Ice Cream, offers the classic flavor of caramel ice cream with an often unseen addition, chocolate. Rolos are often underrated, but they balance sweet caramel with rich chocolate. A combination that this ice cream showcases. This ice cream will keep you returning for another bite after you finish.
Combining candy and ice cream proved particularly delicious with these recipes, and I recommend trying them out. Cooling off with ice cream this summer will undoubtedly be needed, and what's a better way of doing that than adding a sweet candy addition?
