I've always loved Big League Chew gum (and not just because it reminds me of my favorite sport). Now it also brings up pleasant memories of my childhood. Plus, I LOVE grape gum! So this product is a winner all around!
The flavor wasn't as intense as it use to be. Besides that it was delivered quickly and in good condition
in my youth i liked sour candies,,sweet tarts was a favorite, then i really enjoyed sour balls. but hadnt seen them in a while.untill i came across candyfavorites.com thought id see what i could find. Sour balls i found,and ordered and got them,. and have them over several places in my home. brought back my younger day memories. thanks. another favorite, i ,used to enjoy was at the sears candy store.. chocolate stars,,by BRACHS but it seems they arent around anymore,but my sour balls filled those yester years times
Thanks for sharing your sweet experience! Half the fun of old-school candies is the good memories they bring back! As for the Chocolate Stars, of, for that matter, anything from Brachs, they were discontinued several years ago much to the sadness of candy lovers! The good news is that old favorites like Sour Balls are still around!
My mom has always been a huge fan of Hershey’s Choc (both candy AND their unsweetened baking chocolate / powder form. She’s a baker) and has plans to be cremated upon her death. She has many times joked she’d like to have the empty Hersheys canister to house her ashes. I know, sorta creepy but she really does love choc (Hershey’s) that much! Lol
If I were to win the gift certificate, I’d buy something fun for my mom and something for my son! My son is into making candies w me and we do lots of choc dipped everythings.

I have love old fashioned gum and candy all my life and was pleased to find some of my favorites at appropriately named Candy Favorites. I have triplet and twin grand children and have been able to introduce them to my favorite gums. I would like to introduce them to more with a gift certificate. YUMMMM.

The Hope Lodge is a home away from home for patients receiving cancer treatment and their caregivers in NYC. Hope Lodge is sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Individually wrapped hard candies are a welcome treat for people receiving chemo therapy. Having lived there with my son for 4 months I know how much patients enjoyed the candy provided by others or the Hope Lodge.
