[message]in my youth i liked sour candies,,sweet tarts was a favorite, then i really enjoyed sour balls. but hadnt seen them in a while.untill i came across candyfavorites.com thought id see what i could find. Sour balls i found, and ordered and got them,. and have them over several places in my home. brought back my younger day memories. thanks. another favorite, i ,used to enjoy was at the sears candy store.. chocolate stars,,by BRACHS but it seems they arent around anymore, but my sour balls filled those yester years times
Thanks for sharing your sweet experience! Half the fun of old-school candies is the good memories they bring back! As for the Chocolate Stars, of, for that matter, anything from Brachs, they were discontinued several years ago much to the sadness of candy lovers! The good news is that old favorites like Sour Balls are still around!
Loved working with this team! They were so helpful, patient, courteous, professional, and helped make holiday gifting for over 200 clients so easy. Don't hesitate to reach out to Candy Favorites - they are the real deal! Thank you!
Thank you so much for the kind review! It was a pleasure working with you throughout the transaction! Anything you need from this end is always, but a phone call or mouse click away! Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!
Childhood memories
Childhood Memories is what retro candy is all about! Thanks for choosing CandyFavorites.com!
The picture showed the white lettering typical of Primrose, and It came up on the Primrose filter. But, it has blue lettering, and came from Argentina(If my memory is correct). That said, I do like them anyway, and the quality seems as good as what I get from Primrose. I will probably buy them again if available. The problem is, how would one know what they are getting?
I love the red dollars. I am disappointed I can't get the snaps anymore.
We, too, are sad that Snaps are no longer available! Rest assured, we will certainly let you know when and if they become available!
It won’t be the same without Necco Chocolate Wafers and candy hearts.
Another article I read earlier said that Necco Wafers were one of the most hated candies…really??? How could anyone not like Necco Wafers? I am constantly at Dollar General, the only place I can find them, stocking up on many, many rolls. Along with my other favorite, the big Smarties that come in a roll like the Necco Wafers. Today I bought 10 rolls of each! Hahaha! My family thinks I have addiction issues regarding my candy. Ha! I’m gonna have to start closet eating I guess. Anyway, I won’t survive without my Necco’s. A Zombie apocalypse would be preferable to that. Someone bail the company out already!
Some good news. You can still buy Wafers & a few other of their brands on Amazon while they use up their inventory. I don`t know what the price differential is from what you`re paying now. Hope this helps.
As a longtime Archivist (retired Librarian) I have always been dealing with ‘preservation of old things.’ Sad to know this may be an end for NECCO and all of our memories of the days gone by. I have already kept (fully wrapped) the 150th Anniversary 1997 tube package and now have set aside a tube of chocolate & recent wafers for, when they ever arrive, the g-grandchildren to enjoy. :-D
I used to like Necco Wafers because you could keep them in your pocket and have a piece of candy for days if you had a little will power. The Chocolate ones are my favorite but the variety pack had those black ones in there I loved also.
