We didn't believe this either but we were just notified by the manufacturer that bulk Caramel Creams, Brownie Caramel Creams, and Mini Cow Tales are being "temporarily suspended" until further notice. You might ask yourself what exactly does this means.
Smaller unit sales such as count goods will still be available, but anything sold by weight or repackaged will not be available.
Below is a copy of the August 9th notification received from Goetze's
"As a result of the current employment environment around the country and specifically in the state of Maryland, we continue to face staffing shortages that are severely hampering our production output. Compounding the situation are material and ingredient shortages/delays by our suppliers. We have made some difficult decisions in suspending our flavored Caramel Creams and Cow Tales lines over the past year. Today we are forced to make an additional suspension announcement ensuring we are best meeting our customer's expectations with our core everyday planogram items while keeping our reduced staff safe. As such, we are announcing today the temporary, but immediately suspension...until further notice."
Caramel Creams and Mini Cow Tales are amongst the best-selling bag candy and bulk items that we offer and, perhaps, of all times! We know this is a hard decision for Goetze's, and we share your disappointment too.
