Dum Dum Lollipops were first made by Akron Candy Co., in Bellevue, Ohio in 1924 and the name comes the sound that every child would be able to say and remember “dum dum.”
We like candies that have a bit of mystery benind them and Did you know the mystery flavor in every assortment is a mixture of two or mode flavors, and the exact formula has never been revealed?
The photo is a retro candy advertisement for Dum Dum Lollipops Circa 1953 and, in case you are wondering, there are about sixty (60) lollipops per pound and each one if certified OU Kosher and, as the box says, " free of major allergens."

When I was seven years old my father started asking me if I wanted to go with him to go to run errands. This was a very big deal for me because I only went to school and church. We didn't do all the running around that parents do today with their children. We also did not get the treats that most children do today. There just was not enough money for that. On one trip out running errands with my Dad we went to the bank. Not a drive through bank but into the bank building. When my Dad had finished is banking the very nice teller handed me a Dum Dum. I looked at Daddy to get permission to take this amazing, wonderful, treat that was being presented to me and got his nod of approval. I only unwrapped it outside and it was so sweet and so Pineapple! I didn't know you could get a sucker in Pineapple. My father showed me the wrapper where it said Pineapple and the little picture of a Pineapple. From then on I always went with my Dad to run errands.
i remember this candy when i was a kid it was the greatest taste was good and it seemed like you could suck on it forever

[message]small chocolate covered caramels are so good..... 1 at a time.... so flavorful and sweet........
I have searched literally everywhere for this candy in a roll. Was thrilled that you had this!! Got here really fast too. Thank you so much!!
I've always loved Big League Chew gum (and not just because it reminds me of my favorite sport). Now it also brings up pleasant memories of my childhood. Plus, I LOVE grape gum! So this product is a winner all around!
The flavor wasn't as intense as it use to be. Besides that it was delivered quickly and in good condition
in my youth i liked sour candies,,sweet tarts was a favorite, then i really enjoyed sour balls. but hadnt seen them in a while.untill i came across candyfavorites.com thought id see what i could find. Sour balls i found, and ordered and got them,. and have them over several places in my home. brought back my younger day memories. thanks. another favorite, i ,used to enjoy was at the sears candy store.. chocolate stars,,by BRACHS but it seems they arent around anymore, but my sour balls filled those yester years times
Thanks for sharing your sweet experience! Half the fun of old-school candies is the good memories they bring back! As for the Chocolate Stars, of, for that matter, anything from Brachs, they were discontinued several years ago much to the sadness of candy lovers! The good news is that old favorites like Sour Balls are still around!
I saw I could order Snaps after a lifetime drought. I order 6#,s, and ate em all. I saw a problem forming so I ordered 9# of Snaps in 12 oz packs. Still . I wanted sealed Snaps for the long haul. So I ordered another 6# bag … and ate it. The pandemic hits and I salivate over my sealed 12 oz bags. Then I ate em. A year later I found Snpas online. The were not cheap. I bought 4 12 oz bags. Opened the last one yesterday.
I was very grateful for the rush order !
Also the person who helped was just fantastic took great care of my order!
My Sunday school kids will enjoy making their turkey cupcakes with the candy corn.
Thank you 😊
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁
Couldn’t find these gems in any local store to me so I ordered 5 pounds they were fresh, taste was perfect and they arrived a day early!!!
With decent weather on Halloween, wanted to make sure I had plenty of candy to give away. Delivery was on time and kept me out of the stores buying old candy that had been on the shelves since Labor Day.
smaller in size compared to similar types of candy like Brachs used to make but just as tasty and you won't find a better price anywhere else online for size of product offered than here at candyfavorites.com . If it's out fo stock be sure to sign up for their email alerts of when it becomes availabe again, that is what I did, and your candy drawer can be restocked too!
