Over the years, Oh Henry Candy Bars have been associated with Hank Aaron the baseball player, and O.Henry the author. The candy may have been introduced in 1920 - if you are confused, read further - and, in reality, its name came from a young man who used to come to the candy store where chocolate was being made and sold.
Here's some interesting trivia that further sheds light on the origins of the O’Henry Bar postulating that this delicious chocolate and peanut amalgamation may trace its roots back to Incan culture.
Hiram Bingham, in his 1911 book, “Last City of the Incas,” highlighting the creation of Machu Picchu Last City of the Incas, mentions on Page 140 that natives made his group an emergency ration consisting of crude candy sugar and a handful of roasted peanuts placed in an oblong-shaped log of hardwood which the explorers enjoyed on their return journey.
This timeline coincides with an unverified account of a similar candy – The Tom Henry Bar - being invented in 1910 which gives credibility to the O’Henry Bar being mentioned in a 1915 Tom Swift novel that said it was used an “energy bar” during the First World War.
Regardless of where the name came from, this candy bar fills all the criteria for being delicious with peanuts, caramel, and rich milk chocolate!

It tasted just like it
It tasted just like it did over 10 years ago. Shared some with friends and the smiles and comments you knew that you had shared a great candy bar. It was nice to see that the bar is now a double bar. GREAT JOB.
Everything Wonderful...Fresh always, Deliver Quick. The only think was the order was large & in one bag would have liked in two bags. Recommend to everyone...Thank you Always
What made me think about getting the spice gum drops was thinking about my Dad
I’m 70 - so a old great memory. Dad worked construction and drove to jobs out of town allot. I remember he made his own version of “ road snack” back in the 1960’s… he would take a large can with a lid and mix spice gum drops and peanuts in it … I remember the taste and aroma from when I was a kid. So I ordered them. And it’s great!
Arrived in 3 days as promised !
We love reviews such as yours! Half the fun of selling candy and being the oldest wholesale candy company is the many great reviews we receive about the memories that candy brings! While candy, especially spice drops, are great to eat, we cherish the memories they bring even more so! We are grateful to have you as a customer and for sharing your memories of your father! Editor's note - my father kept Necco Wafers in the door of his car. He has been gone for many years, and I am close to 60, but I keep them in my car too!
Great mild mint taste. Melts in your mouth. Nice size too.

I Snaps by the POUND!!!
I saw I could order Snaps after a lifetime drought. I order 6#,s, and ate em all. I saw a problem forming so I ordered 9# of Snaps in 12 oz packs. Still . I wanted sealed Snaps for the long haul. So I ordered another 6# bag … and ate it. The pandemic hits and I salivate over my sealed 12 oz bags. Then I ate em. A year later I found Snpas online. The were not cheap. I bought 4 12 oz bags. Opened the last one yesterday.

Perfect amount!!
With decent weather on Halloween, wanted to make sure I had plenty of candy to give away. Delivery was on time and kept me out of the stores buying old candy that had been on the shelves since Labor Day.
