I live in Oregon but lived off and on Killeen/Fort Hood) and visited in Texas when I was a kid. My Moms family lived there. I remember my Grandpa and my Aunt and Uncle used to give me these really great peppermint candies. The Red Bird peppermints are the only candies that I've tried that come close to the awesome taste and texture I remember! Since there is a cardinal on the package, they may even be the same ones. These candies are great, I love them, they melt in your mouth!!

I saw I could order Snaps after a lifetime drought. I order 6#,s, and ate em all. I saw a problem forming so I ordered 9# of Snaps in 12 oz packs. Still . I wanted sealed Snaps for the long haul. So I ordered another 6# bag … and ate it. The pandemic hits and I salivate over my sealed 12 oz bags. Then I ate em. A year later I found Snpas online. The were not cheap. I bought 4 12 oz bags. Opened the last one yesterday.
