[message]I never received this order, got the raspberry candy and am happy with them but am very disappointed that the chocolate filled candy must have gotten lost.
I am very happy with the order of the raspberry candies however I didn’t receive the chocolate filled hard candy that I ordered at the same time.
Package came with severe damage
Hello,
This is an insurance and if your package came severely damaged, you may be able to file a claim. You need to go to the email you would have received from Route Protection when you placed the order and follow claim instructions. They usually request a photo or two but it's fairly simple to do and we highly recommend you do so.
I love the chocolate stars by Brachs. I can’t find them in any stores in Washington state anymore and they were always my favorite candy. I remember as a child going to the store with my Mom that had a candy counter and my choice was always the chocolate stars. They were so good and melted in your mouth with so much chocolate goodness! My Mom is gone now, but eating those candies always brings back such wonderful memories of her and the fun we had shopping at that store and enjoying our candy.
My Dad loves A&W Root Beer Barrels. He says the new ones are not the same as the old ones. He and our Uncles would go to the Store at low tide (On the Beach) and have a brown paper bag full of treats. As young children, we caught on right away, if we saw our Uncles walking on the beach without a shovel-they were going to the Store. So we would follow them and wait for our treats-when they discovered us. Tar Babies, Root beer barrels, chocolate stars and gum drops filled our bags for a nickle. Tar babies gave away the fact that my Uncle had a treat before dinner. Aunty asked, “Did you go to the Store?” “Oh no.” Then he smiled with teeth full of black licorice!
Please bring back A&W Root Beer Barrels-for my Dad.
During Christmas there are so many wonderful candies that come out only during the holidays. One of these is the peppermint chew. It’s not the Brach’s nougat, but a harder, chewy (not crunchy) peppermint candy made by a completely different candy manufacturer. For the past two years, I’ve been unable to find it locally in ANY store. This past Christmas season, I scoured the internet, but alas, no peppermint chews. I would love to find that these delightful treats are still made somewhere by somebody, but I fear that they’re gone forever!! Save the peppermint chews!
Every Christmas Eve my family would go to church services and at the end of the evening all of the children would receive a bag of candy. They were chocolate covered creams and my favorite’s were the orange ones. They were shaped kind of like a chocolate covered cherry. I think they still have the vanilla cream ones but I can’t ever find any others.
Recently I was searching all over the internet for a candy that both my husband and I remember as kids. I thought it was called “Juicy Fruits”. They were sold in a box and available at the candy store. They were also very popular at the drive-in and movie theaters. They came in different colors and were a chewy/gummy candy. The texture was almost that of the Dots or Swedish Fish gummy candies. The only thing that kept coming up in my search was Juicy Fruit gum. We both remember the box so well with the picture of the candy on it, but can’t be positive if we have the name right. We are a happily married old couple. I guess you not only think alike after many years together, but forget alike too!
Are they Jujy Fruits?
